How is my investment protected?
An OCH Edgewater Management, LLC subsidiary (KB Short Term Notes, LLC) is the borrower and the loans are backed by the subsidiary's assets, which include real estate, real estate debt, and cash assets. Similar to any investment, there is potential risk that you may get back less than the principal amount you invested, but we've done everything we can to mitigate any risk. And in the event of the subsidiary's bankruptcy, its assets will be sold with the intention of repaying the principal balance along with any accrued interest, which we intend to pay at maturity.
